How to: Add an option group to a report using the Wizard.
Solution:
In Report Design view, check and make sure that the 'Control Wizard' located on the Toolbox is depressed. Click 'Options Group' on the Toolbox. Click the desired location of where the option group will appear.
NOTE 1: The 'Developer Tools' must be installed.
NOTE 2: If the Database window is not active, activate the Database window.
1) Click the 'Reports' tab in the Database window.

2) Select the desired report from the list box. (The selected report is highlighted.)
3) Click 'Design'. (The selected report appears in the design.)
4) Make sure the 'Control Wizard' button located on the Toolbox is depressed.
NOTE: Select and make sure that the 'Control Wizard' button located on the Toolbox is depressed.
5) Click 'Options Group' on the Toolbox.

6) Move the pointer within the report. (The cursor appears as the Options Group button.)
7) Click on the desired location. (The Option Group Wizard Dialog box appears.)
8) Type a label name for each button desired into the 'Label Names' property box . (A new Label Name property box appears.)
9) Press TAB to type a new label name in the next field.
10) Click 'Next'. (The next Option Group Wizard dialog box appears.)
11) Do one of the following to either set a default choice or not:
a) Do the following to make the label name button default:
1] Select the 'Yes, the default choice is <label name>' radio button
(where <label name> is the first label name typed in the previous wizard dialog box).
2] Select a label name from the drop-down list box.
b) Select the 'No, I don't want a default.' radio button.
12) Click 'Next'. (The next Option Group Wizard dialog box appears.)
13) (Optional) Type a value in the 'Values' property box for each desired label name.
14) Click 'Next'. (The next Option Group Wizard dialog box appears.)
15) Do one of the following to store the value for later use or not:
a) Select the 'Save the value for later use' radio button.
b) Do the following to store the value in a desired field:
1] Select the 'Store the value in this field <field name>' radio button
where <field name> is the field name found within the active report.
2] Select the desired field name from the drop-down list box.
16) Click 'Next'. (The next Option Group Wizard dialog box appears.)
17) Select the desired type of control to appear by clicking on one of the three buttons. (A preview appears to the left.)
NOTE: The choices are Option buttons, Check boxes and Toggle buttons.
18) Select the desired radio button denoting the style for the control below 'What style would you like to use?'. (A preview appears to the left.)
19) Click 'Next'. (The final Option Group Wizard dialog box appears.)
20) Type a caption in the 'What caption do you want for the option group?' box.
21) Click 'Finish'. (The Option Group appears within the active report.)
